Due to its favorable conditions, availability of natural resources and regional diversity, Brazil has a natural vocation for agribusiness and forestry, being the primary sector of the economy and their interrelationships agriculture-livestock-forest of great relevance for the world impact and visibility of the country. Brazil's competitiveness challenges of increased quality and quantity of the products in a sustainable manner demands investments and technological development, associated with the precision agriculture or more generally smart farming. This business area aims to design, management and execution of research and technological developments that add value to the agri-food chain and the forest, through the exploration of synergies between the subjects of the IB and the productive sector.
