The Environment Business Area is devoted to the conception, projection, management, and execution of technological development plans, taking into account an integrated view over environmental problems and usage of future resource sources, so as to involve technological, ecological and social economical aspects inherent to it. The relationship with the Brazilian experience is extremely important for the sustainable exploration of the environment, answering to requirements of the business sector, related to the industrial domain, advisory, and central and local administration, providing investigation and technological development activities. This business area has a close relationship with all IB's research areas.
