Short CV – Gabriel Santos Bolacell

Master’s degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). He is currently a student at the Graduate Program, Ph.D. level, at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and a researcher at LABESys (INESC P&D Brasil) in the area of Electric Power Systems and Optical Fiber Sensors. He has experience in monitoring electrical, physical and mechanical variables using optical fiber sensors. At the beginning of 2019 he went through an internship period, in the field of Photonics, at the University of Porto (Portugal). In addition, he has experience in the area of reliability and power quality of power distribution systems. Recently, he works in the area of reliability of generation and transmission systems considering the flexibility of transmission lines through DLR (Dynamic Line Rating) systems using optical fiber sensors.
