CONNECTED, INTELLIGENT AND OPTIMIZED POULTRY

AVIOT

The “AvIoT – Connected, Intelligent and Optimized Poultry” project aims at sustainable production, in economic, social, environmental and animal welfare aspects. Furthermore, it aims to obtain a more specialized and optimized form of poultry production, in order to increase the quality of the produced pouts, greater profitability, greater sanitary control of the production environments, and compliance with the precepts of animal welfare.

To achieve this goal, IoT resources will be used in a sample of producers associated with the cooperative (15 poultry farms) to provide constant production monitoring and immediate activation of its professionals to respond to situations not considered ideal for the production environment (poultry farms).

The coordination is performed by INESC R&D Brazil with participation of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) and Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The funding is provided by Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative (Executing Operational Unit), Trinovati Tecnologia, and the Brazilian Agency of Industrial Development, under the AGRO 4.0 Program.
