F-loco

The main goal of the “F-LOCO – Fault Location Optimization” Project is to develop a system for the location of transitory or permanent faults in aerial systems of electricity distribution. The system may be installed without the need of interrupting the electrical grid in the of 15 kV and 34 kV operation tensions. In addition, it will integrate the most modern IoT technologies. The technical kick-off took place on December 17, 2018.

The participants in the development of the research, in interface with INESC P&D Brazil, are researches from the following Brazilian public universities: Federal University of ABC (UFABC), Federal University of Pará (EFPA), Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and Technology University of Paraná (UTFPR).

The project is funded by Energisa S.A., inside the environment of Research and Development of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL). The execution is carried out by INESC P&D Brazil, along with a partner company of technology base Hart BR, which is specialized in the development of solutions for the energy, telecommunications and manufacturing segments.
