Short CV – Aldebaro Klautau

Aldebaro Klautau received the bachelor (Universidade Federal do Pará, UFPA, 1990), M. Sc. (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, UFSC, 1993) and Ph. D. degrees (University of California at San Diego, UCSD, 2003) in Electrical Engineering. Since 1996, he has been with UFPA, affiliated with the Computer Science (PPGCC) and Electrical Engineering (PPGEE) Graduate Programs. He has been a visiting scholar at Stockholm University, UCSD and University of Texas at Austin. At UFPA he is currently the ITU-T TIES Focal Point, and directs the 5G & IoT Research Group at LASSE. He is a senior member of the IEEE and a researcher of the Brazilian National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). He has supervised more than 50 graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.), published more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed conferences and journals, and has 7 international patents granted in countries such as USA and China. His work focuses on signal processing for embedded systems, machine learning and telecommunications.
