Short CV – Claudomiro Sales

He earned the degrees of engineer, master and Ph.D from Federal University of Pará (UFPA) in 2003, 2005 and 2009, respectively, all in electrical engineering. Currently, he is assistant professor level 4 of the Computation Faculty and researcher in the Computer Science Graduate Program (PPGCC) in UFPA. He has expertise in bioinspired computation, monitoring system and machine learning, working mainly in the development of monitoring systems of transmission lines and application of machine learning techniques to the structural health monitoring of bridges. He is also associated with INESC P&D Brazil and in 2017 participated as researcher of the project “TECCON II – Technology for Intelligent Energy Networks” financed by this research institute. This research project led by INESC P&D Brazil aimed to increase the efficiency, reliability and safety of transmission lines using fiber-based sensor systems and an intelligent monitoring system. Also, the researcher coordinates the Universal Project “Solutions in Machine Learning for Structural Damage Detection”, financed by the CNPq.
