Diego Issicaba

Short CV– Diego Issicaba

Diego Issicaba received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2006 and 2008, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree on Sustainable Energy Systems, under the MIT Doctoral Program, from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Portugal. In 2012, parts of his research activities were held by the Post Graduate Programme in Computer Sciences, Faculty of Informatics (FACIN), from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Porto Alegre, Brazil. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as a researcher for the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering of Porto (INESC Porto), Portugal, on several projects funded by the European Union and by the Portuguese Industry. From 2013 to 2014, he worked as a researcher within the Power Systems Group (GSP/UFSC), Brazil. He is currently a full Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He is also a Research Area Leader of INESC P&D Brasil. His research interests involve smart grids, muti-agent systems, distributed generation and distribution systems.
